Juventus continue to hold the first place in Serie A, putting up good results. As a matter of fact, they have lost only one game and tied two since January. That loss came against Napoli in the 2nd leg of Coppa semifinal, but didn`t mean much since they progressed on aggregate. After that game, on Saturday they beat Chievo at home 2:0. It was a routine victory for Juventus, in which they limited visitors to virtually nothing. Both goals came from Higuain, in 23rd and 84th minute, with which he proved once more that he is one of the deadliest strikers in Europe. Juventus will miss injured Pjaca, while Mandzukic could be ready.
Barcelona had a chance to close the gap behind Real after they drew with Atletico, but failed to do so. They visited Malaga, who had practically nothing to play for but their pride. Barcelona were putting pressure on Malaga since the beginning, with hosts waiting to break on the counter-attack. They didn`t have to wait long for that to happen, as in 32nd minute Ramirez escaped Barca`s defence after a great long ball from Carlos and put the ball behind Ter Stegen`s back. Barcelona continued to attack, but Malaga`s defending was impecable. In 65th minute Neymar got second yellow after a totally unnecessary foul, and it was hard to see Barcelona getting anything more than draw. However, they didn`t manage to do even that, with Malaga scoring another one in the dying minutes of the game. It was a surprising defeat, which saw Barcelona`s hopes of winning the title shrunk to a minimum. For this game Barcelona will miss injured Rafinha, Vidal and Turan, while Busquets is suspended.
This is a clash between two European giants, and there are no clear favourites. Juventus is in better form, but Barcelona is simply Barcelona. It is also a clash between probably the best defence in Europe and the deadliest attack in Europe. However, Juventus` attack is significantly better than Barcelona`s defense, and that should be their advantage going into this game. Juventus haven`t lost a single home game this season across all competitions, and with Barcelona coming after a defeat against much weaker side in which they didn`t even score, I consider hosts to be the favourites here. Barcelona could progress, and they could even pull off another miraclewin in the second leg if needed, but I just can`t see them winning in Turin. Therefore, I am picking Juventus with a 0 asian handicap.
