West Indies vs Pakistan by Rahul

Shadab Khan the new young sensational leg spinner for Pakistan has already created a big impression to make his spot in the T20I squad as well as this current ODI squad; and has now made it into the test squad as well. Shadab showcased through the PSL that he is a force to be reckoned with. He had taken 19 wickets in 9 straight games in T20 cricket which is an average of 2 wickets per game. With that success achieved in only 4 overs; its scary to think how he will fair when he a full quota of 10 overs under his belt.

What has also been key to his success in his short career is the number of dot balls he bowls which has kept his economy rate in T20 cricket under 6 per over. With the young West Indies team getting exposed to his spin bowling in this T20 series, it should not be a surprise to see him rack up the wickets with at least 2 per game.

In his first debut game against West Indies in the first ODI, he managed to bowl a consistent line and length and only took a tonking in the final overs, which also got him his 2nd wicket. He bowled nearly 50% of his balls going for a dot, which created added pressure for the batsman, who then had to take runs of him in order to chase and fell in the bargain. I am expecting him to do well again especially if he will bowl in the death overs as the batsman are trying to slog against the turn.

Shadab Khan is also a decent batsman in his own right averaging 26 with the bat in domestic level in one day games; which makes him an added asset to this team.  My backing for this game is Shadab Khan over 39.5 Performance points.
