Everton vs Leicester by Rahul

Everton come into this encounter after being robbed of 3 points against Manchester United with a late penalty decision in the 93rd minute and will want to continue their otherwise strong scoring momentum in this game against Leicester City. Everton have now scored in 6 straight games in all competitions and in 14 out of 15 games dating back to their game against Leicester on Boxing Day. Everton have relied on Lukaku for most of their goals this season but players from all over the pitch including Barkley, Mirallas, Gueye, Pennginton, Coleman, Jagielka have chipped in with the goals to keep the pressure of the hit-man to ensure goals are scored from all over the pitch. Defensively however Everton have been struggling especially since the injury to Coleman which has given teams more room to attack them from the left wing. They have leaked goals in 3 out of their last 5 games which includes Tottenham, Liverpool and Man Utd.

Leicester City have been on a roll; there is no hotter team in England than the defending champions, who have scraped through from the relegation zone, all the way to 11th spot in the table. Leicester City have now won 6 games on the trot against sides like Liverpool, Hull, Sevilla, West Ham, Stoke and Sunderland which will give them a lot of confidence especially ahead of their Champions League game in mid-week against Atletico Madrid. Leciester will look to keep this to a draw at worse as they would like to keep this momentum in the side and its the players ahead of that mid-week game. Key to their success has been the turn around in the form of Vardy, Mahrez and Albrighton; who together have been creating and scoring chances for Leicester which has seen them progress. Leicester have still struggled to keep clean sheets especially away from home conceding in 8 straight games including a 2-1 FA Cup win over Everton back in January.

These 2 sides have met twice this season with 1 win in each; and both games have been extremely tight. With the form of both sides heading into this encounter, I am backing both teams too score in this encounter.
