Granada vs Valencia by PatrickBateman

In this La Liga fixture Granada will host Valencia.

Granada are 19th with 20 points. They are not relegated yet in theory, but being seven points below safe zone eight games to go, it is hard to see them staying up. Their latest performances have been more or less the same as they have this whole season, and they are currently five games without a win. In the last game they played 0:0 in La Coruna, which was only their fourth point earned on the road this season. It was a pretty uneventful game, in which both teams were equal. La Coruna had the best opportunity to take all three points in 77th minute, when they were awarded penalty. However, Ochoa outsmarted Borges and secured his team a point. Ramos could return for Granada, following an injury, but it is not confirmed yet.

Valencia are 12th with 36 points. After two losses and one draw, they managed to connect two wins. Since those two losses came against Atletico and Barcelona, both away from home, there is no reason for alarm in Valencia. In the last game they beat Celta in a thrilling encounter. It was a game packed with action, and Celta were first ones to score, in 16th minute via Cabral. However, Parejo made sure that teams go on the break levelled with his goal in 38th minute. In the second half, the game intensified even more, and Valencia were now up when Munir found a net in 67th minute. Aspas equalized from the penalty in 80th minute, but Soler made sure that Valencia takes all three points six minutes later. For this game Valencia will be without injured Gaya, while Nani and Rodrigo are questionable.

Granada still have a chance of staying up, and they will surely try to do everything what`s in their power to keep their hopes alive. Valencia, on the other hand, are locked in the middle of the table, but they are still showing motivation, even more than at the beginning of the season. Since Granada can`t afford to wait, and Valencia are coming without pressure, this game should be an open one. Valencia have been scoring regularly the whole season, while Granada have found a net in eight out of the last ten home games. Therefore, over 2.5 goals at the odds of 1.85 looks to offer a decent value.
