West Brom vs Southampton by Blackcrow

West Brom (8th) are ten points off a Europa League spot but are unlikely to get it, but will be satisfied in they can maintain their spot on the table. They lead Southampton (9th) by seven points and will do what they can to ensure that they do not lose here. West Brom have done at home, as they have won eight of their last ten home games, beating Arsenal (5th) 3-1, surprisingly lost 2-0 to Crystal Palace (16th), beat Bournemouth (13th) 2-1, beat Stoke (12th) 1-0, beat Sunderland (20th) 2-0, beat Hull (17th) 3-1, lost 2-0 to Man Utd (6th), beat both Swansea (18th) and Watford (10th) 3-1 and beat Burnley (14th) 4-0. They have scored at least two goals in seven of their last eight home wins while they have not conceded in three of them, which is of some concern.

Southampton are unpredictable with 3 wins, a draw and three losses from their last seven games. On the road, however, they have been just as inconsistent, losing 2-1 at Tottenham (2nd), won 4-3 at Watford (10th), won 4-2 at Sunderland (20th), lost 2-1 at Swansea (18th), lost 1-0 at Burnley (14th), and lost 3-0 at Everton (7th). Going withe more predictable run of results that West Brom have gained at home, and though they may concede here, like them to have too much for Soton, who have allowed at least two goals in five of the six away games mentioned, and that looks too much for them to overcome, a solid home defence
