Eibar vs Las Palmas by PatrickBateman
Eibar are 8th with 44 points. Their form has been up and down the whole season. Recently, after four games without victory, they beat Villareal on the road 3:2. Hosts got the lead in 18th minute via Soriano, which was the final result of first half. But after the break, Eibar completely turned around the game, with Leon and Kike scoring two by the 54th minute, before Inui added third in 77th minute. By that time, it was already over, and Soriano managed only to narrow the gap with his second goal in 89th minute. That was Eibar`s first victory since February, and it will surely bring back belief in themselves. They will miss injured Enrich and Nano, and suspended Inui.
Las Palmas are 12th with 35 points. They haven`t been at their best lately, grabbing only two wins in the last nine games. Also, they are still searching for the first away victory since Week 1 when they beat Valencia. On Monday they got defeated on their visit to Celta 3:1. They didn`t start the game well, and went on the break 2:0 down, without having a clear chance. They stepped up their game in the second half, but the hosts scored another one in 57th minute. Despite having couple of good chances, all that Las Palmas managed to get was a consolation goal which Bigas scored in 80th minute. Las Palmas will have a clean bill of health for this game.
Eibar have finally managed to get a win after four games, and it was a quite morale boosting one. On the other hand, Las Palmas continued with their bad performances on the road, where they recorded only six points in 14 games this season. Also, Eibar had four days for rest, while Las Palmas had only two, and that makes quite a difference during packed schedule. Both teams are playing attacking football, but even though Las Palmas is scoring more than one goal per game on the road, Eibar are no strangers to keeping clean sheet, especially at home. Las Palmas` aggressiveness away from home rarely pays off, as they are conceding almost 2.5 goals per game. It seems that no matter how much they score, they end up being outscored, and that should be a great chance for the offensive team that Eibar is. Eibar are looking like a more stable team, and they are playing at home, and therefore I think they should come out as winners from this clash, easy way or hard.
