Molde vs Lillestrom by 20legend
Lillestrom comes from a win agaisnt Sandefjord (2-1) on Sunday, but it was far from any impressive win. Sandefjord shocked them with a goal after 22 minutes and was the better team for 87 minutes of the game. Lillestrom did not manage to step up before the very end of the game as Sandefjord constantly interrrupted their way of playing. It was not until Lillestrom made a substitution with their new striker Skoda that it turned around. Lillestrom scored two goals in the final eight minutes which gave them the important win, but also a boost of confidence towards a much tougher away game tonight. Their defebsive midfielder Bonke Innocent (1/0) is strongly doubtful.
I have my doubts about Molde being able to fight among the top 3 teams this season, but their start agaisnt KBK was promising. Solskjaer gave his striker Sigurdarson a lot of credit after the game which also tells a lot about how important it is for Molde to keep him in form. Lillestrom was a dissapointment in their first game as I had expected a lot more from them at home against one of the defensively weakest opponents in the league. Aker Stadion is the venue for tnight's game and it has an artifical surface that definetley fits Molde best. Lillestrom is used to natural grass where they can use their physical appereance to battle in their wins with set pieces as their best weapon. Molde plays a lot more technical kind of football and I give Molde the upper hand in this game even if they could rest some players from the start here.
