Liverpool
VS
Bournemouth
Liverpool (3rd) are one point ahead of Man City and will look to keep that with a win here. They are coming off a very good win over neighbours Everton (7th) on the weekend but the question remains if they can maintain that form against teams in the bottom half, as they play to the opposition. Liverpool have won their last four games at home, not only beating Everton 3-1, but also Burnley (12th) 2-1, Arsenal (6th) 3-1 and Tottenham (2nd ) 2-0, but did lose 3-2 to Swansea (16th) before that highlighting their indifferent form. What was impressive about their win over Everton on the weekend was their defence, who did not give Everton much a sniff in front of goals, and they only scored from a goal mouth scramble, so if the defence play like they did on the weekend, doubt that Bournemouth score here. The loss of Mane is big but they were also without him during January when he was on African Nations Cup duty, and they did ok there without him. Still, they have the likes of Firminho and Coutinho to create chances for them

Bournemouth (14th) have won two of their last three but on the road, they have lost six of their last ten away games, and in particular against top sides, they have struggled, losing 6-3 at Everton (7th), 3-0 at Chelsea (1st) and Arsenal (6th) 3-1. In losing these six away games, they have allowed at least two goals in each of them, and though they have scored in five of these losses, doubt that they are good enough to win this. In the reverse fixture, Liverpool actually led 2-0 and 3-1 before losing 4-3, so expect that to be fresh in their minds, and doubt that they will allow a repeat of this, at home at Anfield
