The hosts are in an awful form of late. They sit on 17th place just a point above relegation. Their last 3 games were a huge blow to The Swans ambitions to stay in the Premier League. They lost 2 games against relegation rivals then they could not get 3 points at home against rock bottom Sunderland finishing in a disappointing goalless draw. They dominated some periods of the game but lacked the finishing touch. Worrying thing in this game was the fact that Boro created some very good chances and just lack of concentration and some luck denied the visitors from taking all 3 points.
Tottenham are flying high at the moment. They managed a crucial win at a very tough away fixture at Turf Moor. With their victory and Chelsea’s surprising defeat the Spurs decreased the gap at the top to 7 points. They haven’t been convincing in most of their away games but it looks like that Pochettino has made the necessary adjustments to his team. Still Tottenham are having to deal with a lot of injuries as key players like Harry Kane, Erik Lamella and Danny Rose will not feature on Wednesday. Despite their absence Tottenham looks sharp and plays with much needed determination for Swansea’s shaky defensive line to handle.
Swansea are one of Tottenham’s favourite teams to play against. They managed to win 9 of the last 10 games between those two teams scoring at least 2 goals in the last 6 games. Therefore I’m backing Spurs here to win with -0.5,1,0 AH for 1.98 in Pinnacle. Good Luck!
