Hull City vs West Ham by PatrickBateman
Hull are 18th with 24 points. They have been in mixed form recently, but they have shown signs of improvement since earlier in the season. After beating Swansea in a "six point" game, they got heavily beaten at Goodison Park last time out. Calvert-Lewin gave Everton an early lead in 9th minute, which was the score at half-time. Hull were holding up pretty good until 73rd minute when Huddlestone got sent off. From then on, there was no chance for Hull anymore. Valencia scored in 78th minute, right after coming on, while Lukaku added two more in stoppage time. In the end, result might have been a little unfair to Hull, but they haven`t had a single shot on goal, and they couldn`t hope for more. For this game they will be without injured Keane, Masona and Mbokani, while Huddlestone is suspended.
West Ham are 12th with 33 points. Although they are pretty much safe from the relegation, the fans will still demand better results since West Ham failed to record a victory in the last five outings. In the last game they lost at home to a reborn Leicester 3:2. Visitors scored two quick goals, and already in 7th minute they were 2:0 up. Lanzini narrowed the margin in 20th minute, but Vardy made sure that Leicester go on a break with a two-goal lead in 39th. In the second half West Ham stepped up their game, and pulled one up via Ayew in 63rd minute. They continued to dominate and it looked like they could get something from the game after all. Carroll had a great opportunity in stoppage time, but Schmeichel miraculously kept it out to bring Leicester important three points. West Ham will be missing Obiang, Ogbonna, Reid, Sakho, Tore and Antonio - all injured.
This is the clash between a team which is fighting to stay up and a team which is fighting to put an end on their bad run. Hull have an advantage since they are unbeaten in the last seven home games. However, West Ham are always a dangerous team. Hull have found a net in each of the last seven games at KC, while keeping only two clean sheets. On the other hand, West Ham have scored in all but two away games this season, while nine out of their last ten games saw more than two goals being scored, mostly from both ends. Since both teams will be looking for a win here, and both teams have enough offensive quality to regularly find a net, I think we will see an interesting and open-minded game with more than two goals being scored.
