Osasuna vs Bilbao by PatrickBateman
Osasuna are last in the league with only 11 points. They have been terrible this season, managing to get only one win (a very lucky one), and they will almost surely be relegated. Two matches ago they showed a good fighting spirit when faced Eibar. They equalized only seven minutes after they conceded, and could`ve even won in the last ten minutes. But the game finished 1:1, and in the last game against Betis they got back to their old habits. Betis were in command since the beginning, and by the 28th minute it was 2:0. It was all torture for Osasuna until the end, since the hosts were satisfied with the result and Osasuna was powerless. The game finished with that result, and once again Osasuna were left with empty hands. For this game they will be missing Bonnin, Digard and Miguel Flano - all injured.
Bilbao are 7th with 44 points. They have been in mixed form lately, mostly because their results on the road have been disasterous. Win against Sociedad was their first away win in ten games. During that run they failed to score in six outings. Last time out they suffered only their second home defeat, when they faced Real Madrid. Real started the game better, and got the lead when Benzema scored in 25th minute. Bilbao weren`t giving up, and it paid off for them in 65th minute, when Aduriz levelled things up. However, only three minutes later Casemiro gave the visitors another lead, following a corner kick. There haven`t been any more chances until the end, and the game finished 2:1. Bilbao won`t have any noticeable missings for this game.
Bilbao are coming here as clear favourites, but they are a really unpredictable team. Osasuna doesn`t look that bad at times, especially at home, and even though they have virtually no chance of staying up, they are still showing a fight. They have scored in each of their last six home games, including the match against Real, and therefore they should have enough to score against Bilbao who kept only four clean sheets away from home this season. Last time these two met in Bilbao the game finished 1:1, and Osasuna is capable to make it hard for Bilbao again. Visitors need to win here if they want to keep their hopes of Europe alive, while Osasuna will play for their pride, in search for their first league victory in five months. With all that being said, I think that a logical thing to do here is back both teams to score.
