The hosts are sitting on 14th place with their 31 points 7 above the danger zone. Their form doesn’t look so good. Winless in 4 games Walter Mazzarri’s team needs to improve on Saturday against the rock bottom Sunderland. Watford lost 0-1 to Crystal Palace before the international break which left the team with only 1 point out of possible 12. At home The Hornets are doing somewhat better than away having lost only 2 of their last 13 games at Vicarage Road. Problems for Watford include Christian Kabasele, Mauro Zarate, Ben Watson and Roberto Pereyra who are all most likely to miss the game. Behrami also has some problem but is expected to be fit for the game though probably not for 90mins.
Sunderland are sitting on the bottom of the League. With 20 points won so far they are 7 away from the 17th Swansea. Unless they improve drastically the team is looking to go down soon as there are not so many games left to be played. Sunderland failed to overcome Burnley at home last game and Burnley is a team who hasn’t lost just 2 of their away games. The black cats are having trouble both creating and converting chances. They failed to score in 6 out of their last 7 games. Also injuries aren’t making the team any better with 5 players definitely missing the game and Pienaar and experienced defender John O’Shea having problems.
The Hornets need to improve if they want to avoid relegation battle the last few games. I can’t see a better opportunity than this one. They are playing against the bottom team who is having trouble scoring. My pick here is Watford -1 AH for 2.43 in bet365. Good Luck!
