Hertha are 5th with 40 points. They have been in mixed form recently, getting positive results at home, while struggling on the road. They are the best home team in the league, losing one and drawing one, while winning all other games. In the last game they lost to Koln 4:2 away from home. Koln started the game a lot better, and after taking an early lead in 6th minute, Modeste practically concluded the game in 37th minute, when he scored two goals in a space of two minutes. Hertha pulled one up when Ibisevic scored a penalty in 50th, but Modeste scored his third goal only thirteen minutes later to take away any hope from the visitors. Brooks scored in 69th minute to make it 4:2, but that was it from Hertha. For this game Brooks, Weiser, Lustenberger and Schieber are doubtful.
Hoffenheim are 4th with 45 points. They have been in good form lately, staying undefeated in the last five outings. However, their away form has been similar to Hertha`s, having won only one out of the last eight road games. In the last match they beat Leverkusen 1:0 at home. In the first half it was all Bayer, and they could`ve gone on the break with a couple of goals advantage, had they been more calm in the final third. In the second half Hoffenheim snapped out of it, and took control. It paid off for them in 62nd minute, when Sandro Wagner managed to put the ball behind Leno`s back, but with a lot of luck. Leverkusen looked powerless from that moment, and the game finished 1:0. Hoffenheim will not have any unavailable players for this game.
Hertha have been putting up some Jekyll and Hyde performances lately, with their away games being nowhere near their home ones. They even beat Dortmund and played 1:1 with Bayern at their own ground. Hoffenheim have been in better form than their hosts, but they have been showing signs of steady decline during the last couple of games. Also, their away form hasn`t been good, and they will have a hard time coming up against the best home team in the league. Therefore, I would consider Hertha to be the favourites here. But as Hoffenheim are really organized and quality team, which is really hard to beat, this game could easily end as a draw. But considering Hertha`s strong home form which sees them conceding 0.5 goals per game on average, and never more than one, I can`t see them losing this one. Because of all that I find great value in backing them with a 0 asian handicap at the odds of over 2.00.
