Player Special vs Oklahoma by Warren
Tonight Houston Rockets will host Oklahoma City Thunder, and that will be their thrid match this season. This match will be clash of top two MVP candidates,as well as ex-teammates - James Harden and Rusell Westbrook and my pick is that visiting team's starting center Steven Adams will have 12 or more points.
First of all Adams is spending average 30 minutes per game and also averaging 12,2 points while having 60% shooting from the field. Also in last five games Adams is averaging 14 points(two points more that tonights line).Tonight Houston will be without their first center Clint Capela(absent due injury for some time now) and here i see big value in this pick.Clint Capela is pretty good defender at center and rim protector and without him n the floor Adams will have much easier job to score points! In their last meeting Adams scored 24 points even with Caplela in lineup,so i don't see why he can't score atleast 12 points tonight!
One more thing,Adams scored 20 and 18 points in his last two games and we can see that he's in pretty good shape. Also Houston Rockets are allowing 19,8 points per game on average to opponents centers to score and since Capela is out that numer is over 21 points. Also tonight's game will be probably with lot of points(220+) and fast breaks and dunk, and those definitely goes in favor to Adams.
So to sum up i think that this is great line and that Adams will easily score more than 11,5 points against not so good defenders - Nene and Motrezi(Houstons centers). This will be definitely exciting game to watch and maybe will go in overtime, who knows?
