Stoke City vs Watford by Rahul

Stoke City put on a spirited performance for the first half of their games against Liverpool and Chelsea, and unfortunately then lost 1-4 and 2-4 respectively. But Mark Hughes side have shown true heart in their recent games, and have been unlucky not to have results their way. A couple of games ago they were 2-0 up against Leicester before struggling to draw 2-2. Stoke City have been shifting their forwards a lot but certain players have been holding the fort including Joe Allen, Shawcross, Adam, Shaqiri and Afellay who have been supporting whoever the forward has been in order to deliver results. Defensively is where Stoke still need to improve with them conceding 13 goals in their last 5 games alone.

Watford have been in bad shape with 5 losses in their last 7 games. While they managed to keep their losses to a minimum, the struggle in front of the net has seen them 3 goals in those 5 losses so far. They have only scored 8 goals in 9 away games but have shipped 17 goals in those games. It's difficult for sides to keep things tight away from home, and Watford have been quite guilty of that. Watford games have an average of 3 goals per game, with only 5 games seeing less than 2 goals. Watford will be looking tosort out their scoring efforts in front of goal in order to start delivering some points; but the best hope for that looks like a penalty or a set piece at this time.

I expect Stoke to build on their recent momentum including their victory against Watford back on 27th November, and with their recent trend of high scoring games, I am expecting goals in this one. I am backing over 2 Asian Goal Line in this encounter.
