Charleroi vs Anderlecht by Sors
In the matter of fact, Charleroi is not a team that impresses in attack, but the truth is that the hosts are among the leading teams in the league if we speak of effectiveness, as Charleroi failed to score only four times in 22 competitive games this season and just once in twelve games at Stade du Pays de Charleroi.
Enes Saglik (m / 4+0) and Sotiris Ninis (m / 13+2) are out for this home match against Anderlecht, but key midfielder in Christophe Diandy (19+1) will return to the squad after missing one match due to suspension.
Anderlecht comes from a 3-2 win in the visit to Gent on Thursday - fourth for the guests in the last five rounds after those against Mouscron (7-0/home), Kortrijk (3-1/away) and Eupen (4-0/home), while one match ended with a draw (0-0 at home against Brugge on Dec. 11).
The guests seem simply unstoppable in attack lately, having scored a total of 21 goals in seven games over the last four weeks and two or more goals in five consecutive visits to Waregem (2-3), Gabala (3-1/Europa League), Charleroi (2-2/Cup), Kortrijk (3-1) and Gent (3-2).It’s not a surprise actually, given the fact that Rene Weiler can count on players like Diego Capel (m / 1 goal), Alexandru Chipciu (m / 3 goals), Nicolae Stanciu (m / 5 goals), Sofiane Hanni (m / 7 goals), Youri Tielemans (m / 9 goals), Lukasz Teodorczyk (f / 21 goals), etc.
On the other hand, Anderlecht’s defense is not an example of stability, as the guests conceded two or more goals in half of their previous six games in December and at least one goal in eight consecutive away games.
Dennis Appiah (d / 3+0) and Idrissa Doumbia (m / 2+0) are out due to injuries, but these two players are unavailable since August.
I doubt that any of these two teams will manage to keep clean sheet tonight.
