Ingolstadt vs Freiburg by PatrickBateman
Ingolstadt are 17th with 12 points. They are one of the main candidates for the relegation this season, and they started their season in that fashion, having not won a single game until Week 11. However, since then they have only one loss, winning three and drawing one. They are coming into this game after back-to-back victories, and formidable ones for that matter. They`ve beaten Leipzig at home 1:0 and then Leverkusen on the road 2:1. It is clear that they have been pretty good lately, but will have to continue in that fashion if they want to stay up.
Freiburg are 10th with 20 points. They are in "golden middle", far from the relegation zone and far from Europe spots. Key to their solid position were games at home, while away they managed to get only 5 points. They are currently on a three-game unbeaten run, before which they suffered three convincing losses. All of their victories this season came against weaker teams, except one against Frankfurt which they won 1:0.
Ingolstadt are favourites or this one, since they put up some decent results lately. However, I wouldn`t trust them, as they are still one of the worst teams in the league. Sure, Freiburg have not been very good ont he road this season, but they still have the means to surprise their opponents. Ingolstadt have scored at least one goal in the last five consecutive games, while Freiburg scored in all but two this season. Freiburg are not scoring much but they are scoring regularly, and even though they lost five away games and won only one, they have scored in every game except against Koln. I know that it has been often in Bundesliga this season that these kind of matches finished with low amount of goals and them coming mostly from one side, but I think that this will not be that game. I am not saying that we will see a lot of goals, but I can see this game finishing 1:1. Ingolstadt are conceding 1.7 goals per game at home, and Freiburg are actually scoring more away than at home - 1.3 per game. I know that statistics is not that important in football, but if we add recent scoring form of both teams, I think that chances of us seeing goals from both sides are more likely than what the odds of 2.05 suggest.
