Chicago Bulls - Detroit Pistons
The Bulls are definitely in a slump. Not the losses are the indicator, but the way they have lost and their body language in the recent games. Coach Hoiberg himself said about where his team is at this point: "right now it's a drag".
One should not wonder, taking account of the summer talking about how they wish a young team and a fast game and then the comings of Lopez, Wade and Rondo, obviously anything but youngsters. The main issue is the lack of coherence and clarity on their project's direction and all the rest is just following.
As they did last season, I think the Bulls will surprise us here and there, as they still have some good talent in the roster, despite not being a coherent team. That talent will come together from time to time, but I don't think it will be the case today, against a Detroit team that seems a bad matchup for them. The Pistons have beaten the Chicago just a wek and a half ago, and they have beaten them 7 out of their past 9 games.
And if we take a look over the Pistons' wins this season we'll see that only one, a 7 points win in Boston, wasn't a double digits win. All the rest were clear wins, with more than half exceeding 15 points margin and even 6 by over 20 points.
I think the bookmakers are too conservative here and I'm gonna defy them ;)
Best of luck with your bets ;)
