The Texans are coming off an important win in which they defeated rival Indianapolis Colts and made their way to the AFC South title a lot easier. We had another week of poor football presented by QB Brock Osweiler, but RB Lamar Miller's (107-yard race) ground game and good defensive performance (three steals) secured his team's seventh victory in 13 games this season. The team now has a quiet schedule in the final stretch of the regular season and should be able to secure a playoff presence.
Although the Jaguars have been a team that put a lot of expectations this season, the drop in performance of this team compared to last year is huge. The team was the 14th in points scored per game in 2015, being the 27th this year. The game, which should be prioritized in the gameplan with the signing of RB Chris Ivory in the last off-season, has been a completely inoperative sector. Watching this play team we see several three-and-outs, several mistakes made. Anyway, for me it's one of the three worst teams in the NFL.
I do not like to bet on Houston's favor this season, but Jacksonville gives me no other choice. With this game taking place at NRG Stadium, the expectation is that the Texans have a quiet game against their division rivals. These teams met in Florida about a month ago and Texans won by 24 × 21. This time I believe we will have a slightly bigger difference on the scoreboard, enough to beat our handicap.
