Losing almost all the offensive players they had in previous season, Clermont seemed to have problems upfront but somehow Corrine Diacre succeed to rejuvenate the squad and for the moment Clermont is on 13th spot with 22 points. For sure is not what Clermont’s fans expected but keeping in mind their situation is a decent position. Diacre proposed us another few young offensive players as Jobello, Thiam and Ajorque who did a decent job. Those 3 together with veteran Dugimont scored more than 70% goals of the team. Clermont is not a bad team overall but pay tribute to some defensive problems they had in this part of the season, problems who made Clermont to appear as a very inconsistent team. Lopy is fresh injured player.
Orleans remains same rigid team also in this season. A team who most of the time defend, sometime well, trying to surprise the opponents on counterattacks. Missing from the squad a real play-maker private them from some good results. Without some reinforcement, Olivier Frapolli’s squad remains one of the relegation contender. Too few good games made by them and a lot of under-performing situation costed them a lot of points. As a positive fact, Orleans made some good games lately despite taking a single point, 2-2 against Reims coming from behind 0-2 and leveling in 5 mins gap.
Clermont shown too little lately. Despite having some bad results Orleans played better compared with what they played so far. Perhaps first away win for Orleans? Back them AH0+. gl
