Portland vs Player Special by Rahul
The Portland TrailBlazers suffered a heart breaking loss in their game last night against the LA Clippers, where they lost by just a single point. While all this has been going on the only player that has delivered consistently on their 4 game winning streak has been CJ McCollum.
CJ has been averaging 26.5 points per game over their 4 games losing streak and approximately 22.7 points per game this season. He has broken the 22 point barrier in 18 out of 26 games played so far this campaign. His consistency has come from his improvement in connecting the 3 point shot. While he has been attempting nearly 7 per game, he improved his average from knocking down 3 to knocking down 4. He has been consistent from the charity stripe knocking down 3 of his average attempts while also improved his shooting percentage from 44% to 48% this season.
Against a Oklahoma City defense today of Victor Oladipo who has been fairly inconsistent, opponents have done a lot of scoring like Bradley (18 points), Gordon (17 points), Korver (15 points), Hield (16 points). Considering that in the good form that McCollum is in; I am backing him to knock down 22 points in this game.
