Anaheim vs Ottawa by MagicRat
The score last night implies that they were by far the worst team but I think that would be unfair to say. They were ill-disciplined in the first ten minutes and a five minute penalty for boarding essentially set the tone as they found themselves two behind in the first eight minutes thanks to two goals scored durng the five minute powerplay and the second goal was a bit unfortunate for Condon, in Ottawa's goal, as he saved the puck but lost sight of it and it looped over him and into the net.
After a poor start they played their way back into the game and they bossed the second period. I was really impressed with their play in the secnd period and they pulled one back but a few great saves denied them any further goals. The killer goal came with two second to go in the second period.
Anaheim are coming ito this on the back of two home wins and they ave a good home record (9-4-1) and Perry and Rakell, in particular, are putting in some productive performances for them of late.
Anaheim are rightly the favourites for this match when you take into account their home form and that they are on a two game winning, not to mntion that this is the last of a four game road trip for Ottawa. However, I don't think the gap between the two sides is as big as the bookmakers make it.
I wasn't going to tip this earlier in the day because Ottawa were around 3.30-3.50 but now that you can get odds of 4.15 for thm to win I'm happy to back them as I think we are getting good value.
