Browns vs Cowboys
In this NFL fixture Cleveland Browns will host Dallas Cowboys.
Cleveland are without a victory this season, even though they were close few times, losing three games by 3 point margin or less. But when they`ve faced teams that are candidates for playoffs, they were blown away. Big contributor to their struggles were injuries, which saw them using six quarterbacks this season. Last week we saw a return of Josh McCown, probably their best QB but even that didn`t help them to overcome out-of-sorts Jets guided by Fitzpatrick whom all of the Jets staff lost their faith in. They were up 17-7 at half time, but after they returned on the field, they`ve proven to be same old Browns, losing in the end 31-28.
Cowboys on the other hand are playing great this season, leading the NFC Conference with a 6-1 record. They`ve lost only against Giants in Gameweek 1, and only by 1 point – 20-19. When Tony Romo got injured (again), everybody thought their season is over before it started. But then Dak Prescott stepped up – a rookie from Mississippi State, who proved to be a one of the best QBs this season. His passer rating of 99.6 ranks him sixth in the NFL, and game after game he is proving to be capable of being starting QB for the Cowboys. So much that there are debates now should Tony Romo be on the bench when he returns. Precott was on the way of having his worst game last week against Eagles but he managed to step up in the fourth quarter and lead the Cowboys to overtime victory. Also in that game, Elliot managed to total 148 yards from scrimmage and shouldn`t have lot of problems against Browns who have given up an average of 193 rushing yards over the last three weeks.
Cleveland should win sooner or later, but it will not be against Cowboys. Dez Bryant is back and he will certainly want to be the best he can be, while Prescott will be eager to prove again that he should stay on as first choice for the Cowboys. Also, Cowboys will want to raise their record ahead of tough couple of matches against Vikings and Seahawks. Cowboys are one of the best teams in the league this season and they should be able to extend their winning run against the worst team in the league, and they should do it convincingly. Therefore I will go with -7,5 handicap for Dallas Cowboys at the odds of 2.10.
