Celta vs Valencia by PatrickBateman
Celta are recently in a little bit of a slump, with only one win in five games. On thursday they lost Europa League clash in Amsterdam against Ajax, being down 3:0 before scoring two consolation goals. Before that they took a point in Las Palmas, after they were leading 3:0 before half-time. But on a positive side they are in good home form, having won 4 out of 5 last matches in all competitions and drawing with Ajax in Vigo. During that run they`ve scored 14 goals while conceding 7, with a 4:3 win against Barcelona standing out as their highlight. They are playing attacking football, which means scoring a lot but also conceding a lot - their goal difference in La Liga this season is 16:20. For this match they will be onlywithout suspended Sergio Gomez.
Valencia have started to play better since Prandelli came, but their results are still not how they would want them to be. After unfortunate loss against Barcelona, last week they played 1:1 in La Coruna. That was a fair result in a game in which Valencia dominated the posession but didn`t create many chances, while La Coruna was trying to break with counter attacks. Valencia are playing in similar style like Celta and they are finding the net regularly, while their defense is still lacking organization and discipline. They also have similar goal difference - 14:19. Injured Gaya will be their only missing player.
This should be one entertaining match, with goals from both sides. I don`t think that Valencia will be able to play posession game and keep score at 0:0 even if they want to as Celta is offensively a good team and it will be hard to silence them on their home ground. Therefore they will have to answer with attacking game if they want to take something from the game, which should open game up and brings us a few goals. All that being said, I can`t see past both teams scoring here and I wll go for that.
