Lech is currently 8th in the league, but they have quality and amibition to qualifiy to European Cups this season. Before the season the goal was probably going after title, but it can be a little difficult now, with a 10 point gap to Lechia Gdansk. Nevertheless, in terms of squad quality and experience, they are currently one of the top teams in Poland, slowly crawling up in the table. Last weak they have beaten Wisla Plock 2:0, and their young striker Kownacki, finally scored a goal, which should boost his confidence.
While you could have some doubts over Lech performance alone, Ruch Chorzow should not make it too difficult for them to win this match. Ruch is in a bad period recently, losing four out of last five matches, which caused them to drop to the bottom of the table, and now they are on 15th place. They have a squad with a lot of young players, and thus their performances are largely inconsistent, but they can't afford to just bring in some good, quality players, because they don't have money for that. They can sur[rise from time to time, but I think it will be very hard for them to get to the upper half of the table, especially that they still can't find a reliable keeper, as the one they had before, and who was great, was taken before this season, was taken by...Lech Poznan.
Just few weeks ago, in September, both teams met in Polish Cup, also in Chorzow, and Lech won there with ease 3:0. Last season also Lech won without too much problems 3:0 and 3:1, with only one game finishing with a 2:2 draw.
For this match Lech will miss long term injured striker Nickie Billie Nielsen, suspended GK Buric, and DM Tetteh, but only last one was a possible starter.
Ruch will miss defender Koj, and striker Arak.
