Donaldson vs Laaksonen by Iniestaone
Laaksonen is, for whatever reason, the underdog here. The odds have been dropping slowly and I think it'll go below 2.20 on Bet365 by match start.
I think I've predicted Laaksonen to win 3/3 matches on Betshoot, he's a very reliable Challenger player. He is facing Donaldson in the third round in Charlottesville, where he has taken two solid straight set wins vs Bhambri and Sandgren. His career record on indoor courts is 80/56 and its his second most played surface, after clay.
Donaldson is ranked a bit higher, 109 vs 134, but thats about the one factor I can think of for the bookies having him as the favorite here. He's played 20 indoor matches in his career and he's only a real threat on regular hardcourts. He hasn't been nearly as convincing in Charlottesville as Laaksonen has: 2-1 vs Ritschard who is ranked out of the top 1000 and 6-4 7-6 vs Broady as a 1.30 favorite.
The odds are skewed here. Laaksonen should be the favorite, there is great value in backing him to defeat a Donaldson who simply has not been playing good tennis lately, despite his wins.
