Buccaneers vs Atlanta Falcons by PatrickBateman

It`s Thursday Night Football, which brings us division clash between Tampa Bay Buccaneers as hosts and Atlanta Falcons as visitors.

Buccaneers are coming from the division loss against Oakland after overtime. The game they managed to lose even though Raiders had 200 penalty yards. Raiders were by far the better team, but when the oponent has 200 penalty yards, you should win the game. The`ve already beaten Falcons in the first game of the season in Atlanta 31-24, but that was combination of bad defensive play from Atlanta and a good game from Tampa QB Winston, which we haven`t seen often since that. Another thing which is a huge weight for Buccaneers is a shambolic kicker Aguayo who has only 58 % successful field goals, which is below any standard, and it puts pressure on their offense all the time.

Falcons are leading this division and have number one offense in all of NFL. That is mostly because of their inspired QB Matt Ryan, who is having his best season statistically, completing 193 of 279 passes for 2,636 yards. He has 19 touchdowns and only four interceptions, which puts him on the second place in the NFL with a passer rating of 115.8, only behind Tom Brady. Falcons are coming into this game after coming back from being down against Packers at Lambeau Field, with Ryan tossing a touchdown pass with 31 seconds left to make it 33-32. Also it is worth mentioning that DE Vic Beasley rose up to third place in the NFL with 7.5 sacks after sacking Rodgers last game, while DT Adrian Clayborn had two sacks. I am mentioning that because in the first game between these two Falcons didn`t manage to sack Winston, but it should be different this time.

Buccaneers are scoring an average of 21.7 points per game, which ranks them 19th overall, while allowing an average of 27 points per game, placing them 25th overall. That is the key stats for tonight, beacuse the NFL`s best offence with the in-form Matt Ryan and Julio Jones should be able to prevail tonight. Besides that, Buccaneers` offense which couldn`t make it past 24 points against not so good Raiders` defense in addition of terrible Aguayo shouldn`t make too much problems for Falcons, considering they have been good at stopping the run and managed to come on top against good offensive teams already.

Therefore I will go with Falcons winning by 4 or more points and getting a payback for the loss at the start of the season to strengthen their leading position in the NFC South.

Good luck!

Hi Mr123! Just saw your comment. I think it should pass also. I'm watching the game right know and I'm surprised how well the Buccaneers have closed down Julio Jones, however Freeman is doing a good job running the ball which is proving to be a tough task for Tampa. Division games are always close so I went with -3,5 cause it is a good value in my eyes and I was thinking about scenario in which Aguayo could miss some extra point so Atlanta's field goal would make it 4 point difference, but 4,5 should pass too in my opinion
