Austria Wien vs Roma by PatrickBateman
Austria is coming into this game unbeaten for seven games. Austrian Bundesliga is not one of the top leagues but during that run, they`ve managed to stay undefeated at Olimpico, coming from 3:1 down to 3:3 in a space of just 2 minutes (82. and 84. minute). Besides that they are undefeated in Europa League and they are second in their group with 5 points - same as Roma, only with weaker goal difference. They are without their first choice goalkeeper Robert Almer due to injury, and also without Ronivaldo and Windbichler.
Roma are also in good form recently, and also on a seven games unbeaten run, during which it is worth mentioning wins against Inter and Napoli. In those seven games they have scored no less than 19 goals, which translates to almost 3 goals per game. This weekend they`ve been hit with a huge blow in a shape of Florenzi`s nasty knee injury, and they will also miss Manolas, Vermaelen and Rui, while Strootman and Totti remain questionable.
Austria have failed to score in only one game whole season - against Astra in a game that finished 0:0, but at the same time they are conceding fair amount of goals, with am average of 1.5 goals per game. They have scored 3 goals at Olimpico and showed Roma they are no pushovers, and they will certainly not defend in front of their own fans, but rather look for a win encouraged by that result. Roma on the other hand are coming in Wien to win, and their recent attacking record gives them every right to hope for three points. However, they will have to work hard to succed in that and will have to score couple of goals, as they`ve already seen how dangerous Austria is. Therefore I expect to see open, attacking game in which both teams will try to score more goals than the other.
Both teams to score and over 2,5 goals.
