Toronto vs Denver Nuggets by Rahul

The Toronto Raptors have come out this season against a defensive Detroit team winning by 18 points; and followed that against the Cleveland Cavaliers losing by 3 points. DeMar DeRozan has been having an outstanding early season, smashing 72 points in the 2 games on the back of his mega extension to his contract; showcasing to the Toronto faithful his true worth. DeRozan has constantly been the driving force of this team offensively over the past few seasons.

DeRozan has never been a 3 point shooter and missed all his 3 attempts from downtown this season; but he has been constantly working on his mid-range game as well as driving to the rim. He has attempted 28 shots per game, connecting an average of 14 on them so far; while also getting to the foul line around 7 times per game, knocking them all down. With Kyle Lowry yet to get into any scoring form and Valanciunas still working on his game inside; DeRozan still becomes the primary productive output

DeRozan loves playing against Denver despite losing both games, he netted 24 and 34 points in those 2 meetings. The Nuggets have been poor defensively in the back court with Barton and Mudiay; as Portland scored 60 points in the back court while 25 came from the poor Pelicans lineup.

DeRozan is having a ball and I expect him to continue leading the line against these Nuggets team and will look to continue to score 26 points+ in this encounter tonight.
