Southampton vs Chelsea by PatrickBateman
Hosts are doing pretty good this season under Claude Puel, and found themselves on 8th place on the table. They have only two losses, both being away from home, while at home they are undefeated since February, when they lost against, you guessed it, Chelsea. They are playing good football and scoring regularly at home, finding the net in every home game since 2015. They are going to be without Long and Pied, and Bertrand, Cedric, Rodriguez and Targett are going to be touch-and-go till the kick off.
Visitors are coming into the game with loss against West Ham in League Cup, which is not that important to them as they`ve played with mixed line up. Speaking of Premier League, in the last two games they`ve beaten Man Utd 4:0 and Leicester City 3:0, which has certainly raised their confidence. They have been finding the net regularly this season, and didn`t succeed in doing that only against Arsenal at Emirates. They are going to be without Fabregas, whie Ivanovic, Mikel and Zouma are questionable.
It is clear that neither team has problems scoring and they will try to do so here also. Hosts will surely be looking to find a net, and Chelsea won`t commit themselves to just defending. I am surely seeing goals from both sides, but this being a tight matchup, I won`t go with over goals, as I see this game finishing 1:1 easily. Furthermore, since Southampton`s comeback to Premier League in 2013 only one out of nine matches between these two teams finished without both teams scoring. So it is going to be both teams to score for me.
