BW Linz vs Villach by Sors
Linz continues its climb to the top of the standings in the Austrian hockey league, as the hosts have recorded three wins in the last four rounds (3-0-1-0 16/12), two of them at KeineSorgen EisArena against teams from Top 6 like Graz (4-2) and Innsbruck (5-4).
In fact, Linz rarely makes mistakes at home, where this team won four times in five games this season (3-1-0-1 19/15) and lost only against the leaders Salzburg (1-4 on Oct. 9).
There is actually one more reason for my bet: the hosts have scored a total of 52 goals in the previous thirteen rounds (more than any other team in this league) and four or more goals in seven of those thirteen encounters.
Olivier Roy (goaltender) will miss fifth consecutive game for Villach and accidentally or not, the guests conceded a total of 21 goals in their previous four games (compared to 23 goals in the first nine rounds), including a season-high eight goals in the visit in Graz on Sunday (3-8).
On the other hand, Villach shows a relatively good efficiency in offense since the beginning of the new season, as the guests have scored a total of 41 goals until this moment and at least three goals in four of their previous seven away games against Olimpija Ljubljana (6-1), Fehervar (2-3 OT), Bolzano (1-2), Vienna Capitals (3-1), Salzburg (2-4) and Graz (3-8).
Linz and over 5.50 goals is my bet here.
