In this game Cesare Prandelli will make debut as Valencia's coach at Mestalla. Last week they beat Sporting Gijon (2:1) on the road. For this match hosts have pretty comfortable situation with the squad, apart from full-back Siqueira (who wouldn't play anyway) all players are available. Barcelona are generally in good form, but they do have slip-ups from time to time. Two first-choice defenders, Pique and Jordi Alba, are both ruled out and I think that Barcelona's defence might be prone to errors. Valencia didn't beat Barcelona at Mestalla since 2007 in LaLiga, nevertheless Catalans had always a hard time at this stadium in the recent years. Last season Valencia were in big crisis, had half of the squad unavailable and still got the 1:1 draw. This time I believe that hosts might win.
