The finals in Fairfield, USA between Halys and Giraldo. I haven't seen Giraldo play in this year's Fairfield but I have seen Halys and this is along with the challenger in Tallahassee his best tournament so far this year. His serving has been excellent and when he has a streak of 4-5 wins he usually keeps serving well until he loses, from where it goes down a while before he picks up some form again.

Giraldo has also had a good Fairfield run but Halys has defeated better opponents and overall I am very convinced by the Frenchman's performance here. Even if he doesn't win, which I feel he will, he should easily cover the +3,5 line.

I don't get the consideration with Halys beating better opponents.
In R1 he has beat a weaker opponent than any of the four Giraldo has.
In R16, indeed, he has beat Tiafoe, a good opponent, but probably a tired one after the Stockton trophy run.
In QF he just walked as Marterer was hobbled and withdrawed after only 6 games.
In the final, a few hours later, he was obviously a lot more rested than a Brydan Klein coming after 12 matches in 15 days, two 3setters in the days before and another 3setter that same day.
Overall, I find Giraldo's run far better.
