Sochaux vs Lens by Alcuni
Now some words related with this round:
Despite bad results I think a judged the round well enough but....
let's start with Brest - Strasbourg - another goal in 93 mins ruined the bet (really I expect the time when a goal in 93 mins will land a bet for me - don't remember any this season, but were at least 6-7 against me)
Ajaccio - Reims: Reims had few chances at 0-0, scored once but disallowed for an offside and a poor game in 2nd half
Auxerre - Laval: in first half both should have a penalty; in second half Laval hit the post 3 times... so over was a good choice at that huge odds
Bourg - Amiens - with 2 huge mistakes of Bourg GK Fabri (who had ups and downs evolution lately)
Clermont - LeHavre oh my good what a game:) I think Clermont had at least 10 shots on goal , hit the post twice and had in front of the a HUGE GK Farnolle who saved lot of ready goals
Orleans - Tours: well red first half, completely failed 2nd one
Red Star - Nimes with the Nimes GK spectator at 2 Red Star goals.... incredible damn it
Troyes - Gazelec brrrr stupid team GFC but they also hit the post once near to the end of the game after a nice distance shot..unlucky again
Valenciennes -ok delivered a nice team to watch which will be up in the table for long time I think...
So overall plenty of bad luck so.. Alcuni is in a "bad luck zodiac" lool
Wish you gl and if I will have some free time I will use it to write:)
Sochaux – Lens
Sochaux lost their first game in this season, after traveling at LeHavre and losing 1-2. Was an interesting game, an intense one, with LeHavre pressing for almost entire game. Is true Sochuax had also their good moments in game but those were few. With Bradley on the bench for last time, after his resignation, LeHavre was the better team and fully deserved the win. Despite having some missing LeHavre were more active and took full advantage of the missing from Sochaux squad especially main GK, who is injured for some time now. Young and inexperienced GK Prevot made two mistakes and LeHavre scored twice. True is he had some good saving during the game, but on the table remained his mistakes. Upfront Sochaux was to shy, Andriatsima scoring but from a clear offside position. For sure, Sochaux didn’t deserve any point from this trip after they were played. Tardieu and Onguene are suspended.
At a first glance, seemed that Lens had an easy game at home against Red Star. But wasn’t at all like this, because Red Star put a lot of pressure in first half but they missed too easy the great chances they’ve create. Then supported by almost 30000 fans that made a fantastic atmosphere, Lens opened the score thanks to Lopez and earlier in 2nd half they closed the game when Bostock scored from a penalty. Almost all 2nd part was dominated by Lens, Red Star accusing the shock of the 2nd goal conceded. A nice game overall, with plenty of chances to score and really wonder how was possible that my bet to be ruined keeping in mind this high number of goal opportunities. Zoubir is suspended
Sochaux looked poor against LeHavre and also had some problems against poor teams (Laval, Auxerre to name only the latest ones) so I don’t see them too well against a very good Lens. A Lens who was rejuvenated after the latest transfers, A Lens who will climb in the table soon and will be involved in the promotion table. With Bostock and Lopez in great shape I back Lens to take a win on a pitch where they are feeling extremely well. gl
