Avellino made a good impression in his close defeat versus the former Italian champions Armani Milano 87-81, with a great performance of the two newcomers: big guy Fesenko 22p in 21min and Thomas 19p. The size of the Ukrainian guy will have a great impact in the paint also in this game where he will face two really modest Italian guys: Magro and Crosariol (arrived just one week ago) just can´t cope whit the the size and the technique of Fesenko.
Pistoia, which is still looking for player to fill his last extracomunitarian sport, lost his first match in Cremona by 20 points and won his last match with a great come back in a game in which they have been trailing for 26 minute always down by 8-10 points. But most of the work was made by the poor execution of the Brindisi guys. They suddenly started shooting even more wildly then they usually do (Coach Sacchetti way) and simply could not manage the possessions anymore. Today the opponent is a much stronger and constant team, Avellino, especially at his home court where he won 14 games in a row since last year (without counting playoff.
I simply do not like Pistoia as it is at the moment, with too many minutes for people like Crosariol, Magro, Lombardi and I respect Avellino too much to not bet on this game.
I´m going confidently with the Greens to break this game!!
