Sydney FC vs Central Coast by Jimmys003

Sydney Fc will welcome the Central Coast Mariners to Allianz Stadium in round 2 of the A-league season.

Sydney Fc without any doubt have one of the strongest squads this season. Graham Arnold will be very confident, with many strong off season signings, they'll definitely be one of the teams to beat this season. They got off to the perfect start last weekend. Many expected last weeks derby with Western Sydney Wanderers to be closer than what it was. They went into Half time at 0-0, but a blistering second half from Sydney Fc saw them run out strong 4-0 winners, which included a goal from star Brazilian striker Bobo. Sydney have had the perfect off season too. An undeafeated off season has also seen them push their way to the semi finals of the FFA cup, but Arnold will be very with his sides defence, having not conceded in their last 4 matches.

Central Coast will come into this match after producing one of the best comebacks seen in the Aleague. They were dominated in the 1st half of their league opener last week with Perth Glory and found themselves down 3-0 at halftime. Perth definitely looked like they let the foot of the pedal in the early stages of the 2nd half, and 10 minutes after the break the Mariners made them pay getting a goal back. But 10 minutes from fulltime, they bought it back to 3-2, and just 2 minutes later received a controversial penalty with marquee striker Roy O'Donovan making no mistake from the spot, and finalising the incredible comeback.

Prediction: As mentioned, Sydney Fc have a very strong squad and with coach Graham Arnold going up against his old club, there's no doubt he'll want his side to carry on their 2nd half performance from last week. Central Coast haven't beaten Sydney in their last 6 meetings. I expect Sydney to be to strong in this one, they have a quality squad and brilliant form coming into this.

Prediction: Sydney -1
