Stoke City vs Sunderland by Josh
Sunderland's injury worries looks to be excalating day in day out. They were fairly lucky to get a point in their last game against West brom as they scored with their only real shot on target of the game. Over reliance on Defoe is beginning to tell on the team. A number of starters missing through injury; Januzaj, Steven Pienaar, Fabio Borini while Anichebe is not yet fit.
Stoke have won Sunderland once in their last 3 meetings at the Britainia( Bet365) stadium and this looks the right time to add another. Jack Butland has indeed been missed between the sticks for Stoke this seasons but with GK Lee Grant's performance in their last game, it seems he could buy stoke some time pending Butland's recovery. I expect him to retain his place in place of Given. New signing Bony is yet to find his scoring boot but with Arnatovic adding a double during the international break, I think stoke has the rank in final 3rd to earn them their first 3 points. A decent bet would be a stoke win at evens but I would go with Value here. Neither side can be said to be in a good form so its hard to see either side run riot over another. Stoke are known for their turgid defence and they really looked back to their old self in the game against Utd. I expect them to get their first 3 points against Sunderland also keeping a clean sheet. 1-0, 2-0 looks the most likely scoreline. Half stake here
