Ajaccio vs Reims by Alcuni

Ajaccio – Reims

Once again Ajaccio proved to be a completed transformed team when they are playing at home. After a 0-1 away at Sochaux, Ajaccio hosted another big name from ligue 2, the leader Brest. Resulted a nice game with both team attacking and putting less accent on defense (actually letting the defense in hands of the goalkeepers). Overall Ajaccio was more present in front of the goal but not so big luck on their side. They opened the score earlier in 2nd half and the game should end to a 1-0 win for Ajaccio. But once again, our friend Lippini saw a red card, letting Ajaccio in 10 men for the end of the game. Of course Brest leveled after a corner kick and kept this result till the end, despite Ajaccio missed another couple of good chances. Some problems for Ajaccio as Lippini and captain Cavalli are suspended. Main gk Mandanda is injured.

After their first defeat 1-2 on the road at Brest, Reims took a convincing win over poor Auxerre, 3-0 in front of their fans. Practically wasn’t a game dominated by Reims who played clever, taking advantage of most of their chances created; they had in Rigonato one of the best player in the field (1 goal + 1 assist). They scored 3 but missed another few, Boucher (Auxerre GK) having few savings. From what I saw so far, in these 10 rounds, Reims was the most constant team and seems to be the main candidate for promotion. Glombard is suspended while Bouhours wasn’t called up. In rest same squad as per previous game.

True is will be difficult for any team to win in Corsica. But let’s face it Ajaccio have huge problems here while Reims is pure and simple the best team in the Ligue 2, even they don’t push any time till the upper limits. Back Reims to take all points.gl
