Monfils vs Anderson by Estebaneiro

Gael Monfils is in very good shape this season and on hard courts has a record of 32 wins and 8 losses, and his recent achievements involve semifinals at US Open (loss to Djokovic, but till then not a single set lost by Monfils in 5 matches), and semifinals in Tokyo (loss to Kyrgios, but not a single set lost in previous three matches). He is in red-hot form, he is running on the court like crazy, and I haven't heard about any fitness issues.

Kevin Anderson on the other hand lost few months of the current season due to injury, at the beginning of the season, but slowly crawled his way back, but is still not in his top shape - in Chengdu he lost to Troicki, and in Tokyo he lost in first round to Vesely. His record this season on hard courts is a mere 11 wins and 11 losses, which is largely due to aformentioned fitness issues, because Anderson is usually playing high risk tennis, and any small mis**t, results in unforced errors.

Taking into consideration Monfils form, I think he should be able to win this one in straight sets.
