Bester vs El Mihdawy by Alexcosta19

1st round of the challenger of Monterrey, Mexico on hard court. Philipp Bester #303 meets Adam El Mihdawy #301. Two players pretty close in the rankings but I'm going for El Mihdawy for multiple reasons at odds 2.20 on 10bet.

Adam El Mihdawy is a US player but plays mostly in Mexico since couple of years now, on the ITF out there and has won more then 10 titles in Mexico in his career. The 27 years old has been around for a long time now but never reached more then the 281 position. However, this year he started ranked about 600 in the world and now he is 301, not far from his career high. I've seen him play couples of time this year and this is maybe his best year so far as he is more serious and more consistant then before.

Good server, his favorite surface is hard and with a 36w/14l ratio this year he can be confident. He reached 6 ITF finals and won 4 of them. His last ITF won was the 25 september. Last week he retired from the ITF Mexico, but I don't think he was injured, maybe was already focused on this match.

I don't really think Bester is a great player, he got a similar rankings but his best performances come always in Canada, his country. Only 2 itf finals this year with one win, in Canada. His record outside Canada is really poor and here I'm going with Mihdawy because he has been in better form and he often plays in Mexico, with quite some success!
