Arsenal vs Southampton by Woodcutting99

Arsenal
VS
Southampton
Arsenal are hosting Southampton and I see value in a draw. Southampton are a great defensive side and Arsenal are a constant dissappointment from season to season. I believe The Gunners do not have the firepower to beat The Saints.

Arsenal started their Premier League with a 3:4 loss against Liverpool. Then they went on to play a 0:0 draw with a defensive side of Leicester and won their last game 3: 1 away against Watford. The Liverpool game shows classic Arsenal inconsistency, Leicester game shows the incapability to break down teams and in the Watford game, they were gifted a penalty by Watford early in the game to catch some momentum. Now comes time for another draw as Southampton need points and are not gifting Arsenal anything.

Southampton started the league with a draw against Watford. The Saints dominated the game but did not find themselves scoring enough goals. Then came Manchester United on Old Trafford - Southampton suffered a 0:2 loss against Ibrahimović. And then another dissappointing draw against Sunderland. Southampton seem to lack quality in the attack.

All this information sets up a nice friendly draw. Arsenal will attack, Southampton will defend, and the result will be a draw with maybe a couple of goals. There is good value in 0:0 as well but I decided to go with just draw. 4.20 blaze is always good luck.

Really! A draw? Arsenal are a much better side that Soton, in the event where the likes of mane and pelle are still in the team and are currently on form I can agree with you, but this present soton team ain't just good enough, playing draws with below average teams says it all..fancy arsenal winning this game with more than a goal margin

Last 5 games: 3 wins for Southampton and 1 win for Arsenal. Their most recent clash was a 0:0 draw. I just do not have faith in Arsenal and Arsene Wenger anymore. And Pellè is doing quite well with Italy, I suppose he is not as bad striker as you might think. I would not also reckon that 1W1D1L is "on form".

This is just my prediction. Odds are that Arsenal might snatch this but with some luck I think a draw is realistic. Yes, Arsenal win is likelier than a draw but the odds for them to win are also smaller. I would say it is 50/50 Draw or Arsenal win.

WoodcuttingLVL99 Pelle isn't there anymore, please do your research before making a false statement, Pelle plays for a Chinese club Shandong Lunen and also Shane long was substituted against Serbia which means he might be rested against Arsenal, with that being said Southampton are lacking quality and Arsenal are picking up momentum, i'm sure they won't let their fans down at home again after a humiliating opening day home defeat.

Please don't be fooled by arsenal's first game of the season. Arsenal is actually on form. With reinforcements like Perez up front and Mustafi to bolster their defense, this struggling Sotton won't stand a chance against Arsenal. This season Sotton is a lot weaker than it was last season. New manager, loss of Mane and Pelle. My call is 2-0, 3-0 home win.

I made my prediction based on what I've seen from Arsenal and Southampton. I just predict that Arsenal might fail. 50/50, draw/win, as I said. Let's just see what happens on Saturday. I might lose and then you can brag all you want :)

I was a little confused about that Pelle mention, but I did not investigate further. I remembered him being affiliated to China but did not realise the transfer went through. My bad. I only checked out the defensive setup of Southampton.

Southampton is struggling under Le Puen at the moment. He has implemented a new system(4-4-2 diamond) which is not working. They have been punching their weight over the last few seasons and this will finally be the season where they will finish lower than 10th position. New manager who changes the whole system and new key players to replace the lost ones, a recipe for a poor season.

Straight win for arsenal. Arsnesal will win three games continuously b4 the otherwise may happen. Do you think southampton have a better defense than watford?

I like your pick. This game is a trap for people thinking that picking Arsenal to win its an EASY bet. I think Arsenal it's going to struggle this year. The odds are worth to try.

I agreed that this is a prediction site, but also informative. Let's be resolute on match analysis and predictions in order not to miss lead people following this site. Arsenal will not loose is certain against Southampton and the game will not end in draw. Strength and mental readiness is key.

Mental and strength actually played out today. Southampton seems to be a hard nut to cracked, but in the end,a winner emerged. Thanks to your prediction in irony
