Konjuh vs Lepchenko by Igrok

US Open, 3. round, hard

Both players are coming off big upsets, but I think Lepchenko’s is bigger. Bertens is more a clay court player and was in bad shape since the final lost against Golubic in Gstaad, losing basically in every R1 (Bastad, Rio, Cincinnati, New Haven). Lepchenko is a tricky left-handed player who likes hard court, she defeated what I consider on the most talented player in terms on tactic on WTA tour, Bacsinszky. Last year she reached R16 so she needs to defend points. I will take her as underdog.

you talked about kiki bertens and how awaful she is, but why didn't you talked about bacsinszky form?
she lost to larsson and the first round of new-haven and the second round at cincinatti..and sure bacsinszky is a "hard court player"...i realy dont know if you man know something about WTA tennis at all giving only one side information

What I wanted to point out is that I don't rate Konjuh's win over Bertens much better than Lepchenko over Bacsinszky because her form is 'more' awful than the Swiss who is still in my opinion a tougher player tactically to face. I see an unbalanced factor in the odds offered. I know the winning rate % of the Swiss on hard so I won't bother to reply.
