Barrow vs Bromley by Hassy
Paul Cox's Barrow started the season somewhat slowly but have kicked on over the last couple of games to really show their quality. The side have picked up two consecutive wins, beating both Braintree and North Ferriby and will be confident of picking up another victory over Bromley on Saturday.
Down the years Barrow always seem to be extremely solid and consistently win their home games but away from home they always seem to be equally bad. This is reflected in their results already this season. A quick glance shows that they have won 3/3 of their home games but have managed only four points from a possible 12 on the road. Today they host a Bromley side who are smarting from a 0-5 home hammering by Eastleigh. Bromley looked completely hopeless throughout the match in a game they will not be likely to forget for a while yet. Second to every ball, defensively almost non-existent and without even the hint of an attacking threat, it was a performance so poor they will do well to recover in time for this one against Barrow.
The home side will be after a third straight win when Bromley visit on Saturday afternoon, whilst Bromley will be looking to recover from a damaging loss. However, the hosts Barrow have won 100% of their home matches (3/3) and will be confident of making it four from four. The home form is very good and worth backing. 69% of Barrow's points have been earned at home and as already stated they like playing at home!
On the other hand Bromley conceded at least one goal in each of their last 7 matches and they have shipped in a goal in ALL their away games so far this season. The loss of the prolific Moses Emmanuel to Dover won't help their cause and I expect Bromley to finish closer to the drop zone than mid table this season. Today, Barrow are simply in better form and with Bromley looking sapped of confidence at the moment I back Barrow to record a rather comfortable home win.
