Giannessi vs Wawrinka by MikeVrabel92

Alessandro Gianessi and Stan Wawrinka will meet on the second round of the US Open.

For Gianessi, it's a great result, that he is still in the race. He started in the qualifications, and then beat Dennis Kudla - who is from the USA and played at home field- in five sets. That was a nice victory, especially after three games in the qualifications.

Needless to say, Wawrinka didn't had to play in the qualifications, and he won against Verdasco in three sets. Verdasco is a tough opponent, especially in the first round, he is an experienced player, and 46th on the world rankings.

Wawrinka one of the best player in the world, 3rd on the world rankings, and won two Grand Slams in the past. His performance was not flawless before the US Open, but he shown us in the last match, that he wants to win this tournament. Verdasco couldnt make any break against him, and Verdasco was a stronger opponent, than Gianessi will.

For Gianessi, who is 212th on the world rankings, this is the best result of his carrier. He is not even close to be in the same cathegory with Wawrinka, and it will be his fifth game at the US Open. He can be tired, and Wawrinka can play with fresh legs and mind. For Wawrinka the goal is to end this game fast, and have rest for the next round.

I think Wawrinka will win this easily, in three sets, with no tie break. This means he will win 18 games, and I dont think that Gianessi will able to win 10 games against him.
