A lot of changes have been made in Fenerbahce this summer, as ten players left the club during the break (Erten Ersu, Abdoulaye Ba, Bruno Alves, Caner Erkin, Gokhan Gonul, Michal Kadlec, Serdar Kesimal, Diego, Lazar Markovic, Nani) and were replaced by eight new players – Martin Skrtel (d / from Liverpool), Ismail Koybasi (d / from Besiktas), Gregory van der Wiel (d / from Paris SG), Aatif Chahechouhe (m / from Sivasspor), Roman Neustadter (m / from Schalke 04), Salih Ucan (m / from Roma), Emmanuel Emenike (f / from West Ham) and Miroslav Stoch (f / from Bursaspor).
The hosts already have played five official matches – one in the league against Basaksehir (0-1/away), two in the Champions League against Monaco (2-1/1-3) and two in Europa League against Grasshopper (3-0/2-0), which is definitely an additional advantage for Fenerbahce, considering the fact that Kayserispor played its first official match of the season last Sunday.
Dick Advocaat has almost a full squad to choose from, with the exception of Uygar Zeybek (m / 0+0) and Mehmet Topal (m / 4+0), who was sent off in the visit to Basaksehir last Sunday.
Kayserispor finished the last campaign on the edge of the relegation zone, which led to major changes in this team during the break, as seventeen players have left this summer, while the club signed with fifteen new players.
However, it seems these players will need more time to adapt to the style of their new team, as the guests began the new season with a 0-2 loss at home against Akhisar Genclik Spor last Sunday.
Alain Traore (m / 0+0) and Samba Sow (m / 1+0) are out due to injuries.
I think that the hosts are capable to cover this handicap.
