Accrington vs Burnley by Ashjkc

Accrington
VS
Burnley
Burnley, previous championship winner is on fire already this season. Being the newcomer of the competitive EPL, no one foresaw the shock on Sunday- a 2-0 win against a rampant Liverpool FC during 1st match. Burnley simply did everything to perfection, whether it is defending, goalkeeping or counterattacking. It is not easy to keep a clean sheet when your opponent has over 25 shots on and off target and most of the possession. This has been achieved through the strategy of Burnley boss Sean Dyche. Speaking of the manager, he confidently said that he has no fears his players will struggle to find motivation for Wednesday's EFL Cup clash with Accrington following their surprise victory against Liverpool. While he admited he will make some changes, he will keep the stadards and will line up a winning team. With a massive confidence after winning against one of the EPL big boys, Burnley should definitely win this match easily.

The boss also added: "There's a possibility of changes. We wanted to make sure everyone was fit and well, which they are, but because we have a deeper squad than we've had historically -- and there are some really good players in the squad and we're still looking to add to that of course -- there's likely to be some changes. But other than Ashley Barnes, the manager has a full squad to rely on, including Grays.

Opta stats are also favourable for Burnley to win; Stanley have never beaten Premier League opposition in any competition (D1 L3). They also lost on penalties following the solitary draw, against Watford in the League Cup in September 2006.

Burnley is definitely the value bet for me and even if Stanley plays a very defensive football and Burnley has difficulries in scoring goals in this competition, I believe the differene in quality and morale boosting win against the Merseysiders should be enough
