Newcastle suffered an away defeat against Fulham in their first game of the season as they started life in the Championship after getting relegated from the English Premier League last season. They had a good preseason campaign and they have a top coach namely Rafa Benitez. As such, they remain confident in their chances of securing promotion this season. First goalkeeper Tim Krul and second goalkeeper Elliot will miss out but Newcastle have brought in goalkeeper Matz Sels from Gent and he seems to be a good signing as he was voted best goalkeeper of Belgium 2015. Haidara (0/0 d), Siem de Jong (0/0 m), Riviere (0/0 f) and Mitrovic (0/0 f) will miss out.

Huddersfield have been tipped to be among the relegation contenders this season but they had a good start in the league as they recorded a home win against Brentford last week in their first game of the season. However, they could not repeat the same performance in midweek in the League Cup and suffered defeat against Shrewsbury. Murphy (0/0 g), Whitehead (0/0 m) and Billing (0/0 m) will miss out while Dempsey (0/0 m) is doubtful to play.

With home advantage, Newcastle will target all three points and with a much better squad, I believe they will record their first victory of the season in comfortable fashion. Moreover, Huddersfield will have lots of tired legs in their squad as they played in the League Cup in midweek while Newcastle had a full week to prepare for this game.
