Toronto vs Kansas by ELperro

The Blue Jays won the opener against the Royals Monday, and the teams will play the third game of the series in Toronto tonight. The Blue Jays are close on the heels of the Orioles in the AL east, and have won three straight. The Blue Jays put 17 runs on the Indians late last week in one game. Toronto has scored nine or more in five of its last 10.

Kansas City has lost three of its last four games, and wins with pitching. The Royals have the third best batting average in the league at .274, but are 25th in runs scored with 331.

Todat the Royals will start Ian Kennedy (6-7, 4.04) and the Blue Jays will start Marcus Stroman (6-4, 5.08). Kennedy struck out 19 in 12 innings over his last two games. He as 93 strikeouts against 82 hits, but has given up 20 home runs, at least one in nine of his last 10 starts. Stroman struck out six and gave up one run with five hits in six innings in his last game, but before that he lost two straight and gave up 17 hits and 11 runs in eight innings over those two games.

My bet here is over 9 runs!
