Spain vs Turkey by Cobbyj

Spain will be looking to keep their unbeaten European Championship record as they play Turkey in Group D tonight. Spain have not lost a game at the Euros since 2004 against neighbours Portugal and have completed 13 games without losing and winning the competition twice in succession.

They kicked of their third title defence with a 1-0 victory over the Czech Republic, and the feeling from certain players is that they are going to approach tonight's match in the same way.

Turkey lost their opening fixture against Croatia on Sunday, falling to a 1-0 defeat in Paris, and another loss against the current European Championship holders would make it a difficult task to qualify for the knockout rounds.

Despite this, it's been noted that they will come out fighting tonight for their place in the knockout stages.

Spain are by far the favourites tonight and I am positive that they will have a great deal of possession, but I feel that it will be a low scoring match and think Turkey will fail to score.
