France vs Albania by Cobbyj

France will look to build on their great start in the tournament, when the hosts take on Albania in Marseille tonight.

Didier Deschamps’s Les Bleus side needed a last-gasp Dimitri Payet winner to secure a 2-1 victory over a up beat Romanian side at Stade de France in the tournament’s opening fixture.

France have not lost in their last four competitive games on the home soil, but Deschamp’s side will know from recent experience that Albania are not a side to be underestimated, as could offer a shcok on the pitch if they are not defending well.

France will hope that Albania could be overwhelmed by the occasion as Giovanni de Biasi’s side take part in their inaugural European championship.

Albania was dominated by Switzerland in their first group stage match, fielding just 10 men for the last 54 minutes of the match after Lorik Cana was dismissed on his second yellow card.

The Albanians were out-played by the Swiss but were kept in the game by the outstanding goalkeeping of Etrit Berisha, who slammed the door after allowing the lone goal of the match just five minutes into the contest.

I believe the French will be too strong for Albania and with it being in the home stadium with the fans in good voice, I think France will be victorious here. There's a real mix of different predictions over the world wide web, but I think the safest for me and a sure bet is France to score at least 2 goals, so over 1.5 goals for France @ 1.44 /1 at bet 365.

NB. A couple of places are saying it will be 3-1, but that's quite an outside bet.
